21 days ago, we wrapped up a 1,300-mile trip around Ireland. We visited every sight we could, but with 3,000 castles, countless other historic sights, hundreds of scenic overlooks and dozens of breweries, we still only scratched the surface of this beautiful country.

@brewdogdublinop is a great first stop in this wonderful city! Their food selection is top-notch and includes local Irish flared favorites as well as several meatless options for vegans and vegetarians.

In addition to their well-known lineup of international BrewDog beers, this location brews several unique beers on-site and have their own cider on draft as well. If you're spending a few nights in Dublin, they also have a few guest taps, but we didn't grab any of those, unfortunately. 😔

Tom Crean was an Irish seaman and explorer who lived from 1877 to 1938. He is best known for his participation in three expeditions to Antarctica during the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration, including Robert Falcon Scott's Terra Nova Expedition (1910–1913) and Ernest Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1914–1917).
.
During these expeditions, Crean demonstrated incredible bravery and endurance in some of the most extreme conditions on Earth. He was part of the team that set up crucial supply depots, helped rescue his stranded companions from perilous situations, and made long journeys across the Antarctic ice to reach help.
.
After his Antarctic adventures, Crean returned to his homeland in Ireland and settled in the town of Annascaul, where he opened a pub called the South Pole Inn. He lived a quiet life there until his death in 1938 at the age of 61. Today, he is remembered as one of the most courageous and skilled explorers of his time.
