Are you a fan of the steampunk genre? What's your favorite steampunk video game, movie, or book? I "backseat gamed" BioShock Infinite once, and I got my fill 😅

While I'm not the biggest fan of the genre, I am a fan of this steampunk themed brewery. @dirigiblebrewingco of Littleton, MA, flies high on our must visit list.
.
We do not often run into a grodziskie beer, but when we do - we're really picky about them. Their Piw Paw is a great example of how to make this Polish style, oak smoked wheat beer. When you get the chance to visit, we highly recommend this and a pour of their Enginer primer stout 🍻🍻

How do you feel about spontaneous fermentation?

I finally made it to @foxfarmbeer a couple of weeks ago, and they did not disappoint! This wonderful farm brewery in Salem Connecticut has a warm and inviting atmosphere, a diverse range of beers, a beautiful coolship, and my personal favorite - lots of spontaneous fermentation 🫧🍻
.
My absolute favorite of the night is their Tutti wild ale. The beer is blended from a variety of barrels filled over the winter of 2020/2021. The beer was then refermented on over 500 lbs. of wild Maine blueberries and 150 lbs. of Marionberries. All of the blending components were 100% spontaneously fermented and rested overnight on their coolship 🆒️🛳

I tried so hard to make it to north Massachusetts over the weekend, but failed spectacularly because of all the good beer between NJ and Boston. @armadabrewing in New Haven, CT has been our our list to try for a while now, and unfortunately, we always miss first or last call when passing through ☹️ But we finally made it and they did not disappoint!

Be sure to try their golden stout, A Tale of Two Kings, which is a delicious coffee and hazelnut collab with @yellowkingbrews 🍻

Happy Wednesday! How's your workday going? I'm already looking forward to the weekend and probably a light beer or two like this local NJ grisette. 👩‍💻🕔🍻

It's not always about the bold flavored stouts during the winter. Sometimes, you need to lighten things up with an effervescent grisette. This was my last can of Wash, a wonderful @autodidactbeer farmhouse ale, and it was perfect after spending time on the frozen lake. Refreshing, bubbly, and lightly hopped to perfection.

If you're ever passing through Montclair, NJ, this is the staple of the town. @montclairbrew makes a ton of well crafted beers across the entire array of styles, but they distinctly excel in their super fruited brews 🥭🥝🍍🍒🍌🍐🍊🍑🍓🍻 I'm a huge fan of any beer that they put the baobab fruit in. Even their Black is Beautiful stout is baobab infused, and it is 🔥🔥🔥

Montclair also has a spacious patio behind their brewhouse for those warmer days 🌞 and now that New Jersey craft breweries can communicate with restaurants and food trucks and host unlimited events, be assured that they will be hosting a lot more live music and food related events this upcoming year 🌯🥨🍲🍣🌮🚚👩‍🎤🎸🎷🥁

So dawn your match day scarf and grab a pour of "Back Post" schwarzbier and cheer on your favorite team (club? Idk, I'm a baseball girl.) 🍻🙌🍻

If a well crafted dark German lager isn't really your thing, they will have something for everyone on their 12 taps. Unfortunately, there are no flights here, so you will have to keep coming back to try them all 😉

This downtown brewery is a smaller space for sure, but it was designed with verticality in mind. If you're planning to attend with a large group, definitely get there early to secure your space - maybe call ahead? And now that NJ law finally favors small breweries, I can only imagine just how livelier football events will become at this wonderful brewery.

Be sure to swing by the brewery this weekend for a fresh pour or a few cans ☕️🍺

Kings Road seems to be a staple in this walkable little town as the brewery was packed full of families eating a late lunch on New Years Day. Like all production breweries in NJ, Kings Road is BYOF! 🌯🧀🥨🥙🍲🥗

When you visit, be sure to try their Cold Brew Coffee Pale Ale. This best of flight pour has the perfect blend of American two-row, chocolate and crystal malt, and a gentle hopping of Chinook and Fuggles. The beer is conditioned on top of Harvest Coffee's Ethiopian Sidamo whole beans, with a pinch of Ghanan cacao nibs. ☕️🍫🍻
